Ute Be. performs on stage with a BOSS RC-50 Loop-Station. A Loop-Station – also called a Loop-machine – is a device that allows the artist to record live and play back. During the continuous playback of the recorded sections – referred to as the loop – additional tracks can be played and recorded.
A loop-machine requires a high degree of precision and coordination from the artist. At the beginning of the performance, the loop machine does not contain any pre-recorded passages or sections. Like a musician in a recording studio, Ute Be. sings, plays and records the tracks one by one live – thus creating a musical masterpiece in front of the audience. Once the piece is finished, it is deleted.
The loop-machine is placed on the floor, Ute Be. controls it with her feet.
